Enrico Tubaldi
Professor in Structural Engineering, University of StrathclydeEnrico Tubaldi is Professor of Structural Engineering in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Centre for Intelligent Infrastructure at the University of Strathclyde. He joined Strathclyde in 2017 as a Lecturer, following his appointment as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research Fellow at Imperial College London. His research is centred on the resilience, risk assessment, and management of civil infrastructure subjected to natural hazards, including earthquakes, floods, and climate-related extreme events.
He combines advanced computational modelling, structural dynamics, monitoring technologies, and data-driven approaches to develop innovative methods for improving the
safety and reliability of bridges and infrastructure systems. His work has contributed to the development of digital twins, risk-informed decision-making frameworks, and novel sensing solutions for infrastructure management. He has published extensively in leading international journals and collaborates with academic, industrial, and governmental partners to translate research into practical engineering solutions.

Advancing Radar Technologies for Non-Contact Bridge Monitoring

- Better decisions for bridge owners: The presentation will show how radar-based data can support condition assessment, early damage detection, and prioritisation of maintenance, helping asset owners improve safety, resilience, and whole-life cost efficiency.
