Eleonora Perugini

Eleonora Perugini is an Assistant Professor at the University of Trento, where she has been working since 2025. She obtained her MSc and PhD in Civil Engineering from the Università Politecnica delle Marche, where she later worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher on hydro-morphodynamic monitoring and modelling. In 2022, she joined the University of Strathclyde as a Marie-Curie Fellow, focusing on bridge-scour monitoring and risk assessment and contributing to SRRB-funded projects on hydraulic monitoring of transport infrastructure.

She also worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham on climate risk for transport infrastructure. Her research focuses on monitoring and modelling hydro-morphodynamic processes in riverine and coastal environments, integrating field measurements, remote sensing, image-based techniques, and numerical modelling. Her current research within the EU-funded AMOSBRIDGE project focuses on hydraulic hazards affecting critical infrastructure, emphasizing field observations and laboratory experiments to assess infrastructure vulnerability and resilience under extreme hydraulic conditions.
