Lead Bridges Engineer, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar

Angus MacDonald Gillies is Lead Bridges Engineer for Comhairle nan Eilean Siar (Western Isles Council). He graduated from Glasgow University as a Bachelor of Engineering and holds a Masters Degree in Structural Analysis. A Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers ICE), Angus has worked on a variety of bridge engineering projects all over the UK/world with a wide range of organisations, including Arup, Scott Wilson, WSP(MMM Group) and Tony Gee. His latest achievement is managing the installation of new pendel bearings to a 300m composite box girder bridge (Scalpay Bridge) linking the islands of Scalpay and Harris in the Western Isles of Scotland.
