Jon Shave

As well as 25 years of practical experience looking after concrete bridge structures, Jon has also been involved in developing many of the relevant technical standards at a national and European level. He is the chair of the BSI committee for assessment and retrofitting of existing structures and has been actively involved in the development and UK implementation of Eurocodes for around 20 years. He has authored many documents in the UK Design Manual for Roads and Bridges related to the structural assessment of concrete structures, including CS 466 relating to the management and assessment of concrete half-joint bridges, and CS 455 on the structural assessment of concrete bridges.
