1. Could you start by introducing Sensequake and why you’re at Bridges Scotland this year?

Sensequake develops sensing and analysis technologies that help bridge-owners and engineers understand how structures behave in their current, as-is condition. By combining our highly sensitive wireless sensors with advanced analysis software, we are able to use vibrations from everyday traffic and environmental activity to establish a bridges structural baseline and assess changes over time.

We’re looking forward to attending Bridges Scotland to connect with bridge owners, engineers and asset managers, learn about the challenges they face and demonstrate how our technology can support their assessment and maintenance programs. Through hands-on demonstrations and real-world case studies, we want to show how vibration-based testing can complement existing inspection practices and provide practical insights into bridge condition

2. What will visitors be able to see and experience at Sensequake’s stand?

We’ll be showcasing our Larzé wireless vibration sensors through an interactive shake-table demonstration. Visitors can see how the sensors capture a model structure’s response to movement and how our 3D-SAM software translates those measurements into dynamic properties and animated mode shapes and brings the principles behind vibration-based bridge assessment to life.

3. How does Sensequake’s testing fit around normal bridge operations?

Our baseline assessments use temporary wireless sensors to capture ambient vibrations, typically over a few hours while normal traffic continues. These measurements complement existing inspection programs by establishing a structural reference that can be compared with later tests or used to support continuous structural health monitoring.

4. Finally, what should Scottish bridge owners and engineering teams bring to your stand if they would like to explore working with Sensequake?

We work closely with bridge owners and engineers to tailor our assessments and monitoring to their project’s needs, turning measured structural behaviour into practical insights for maintenance and rehabilitation decisions. If you have a project in mind, please feel free to visit our stand with some high level information about it, and we would be happy to see where we can add value.
