BEAR Scotland has been maintaining and improving vital, strategic trunk roads and bridges across Scotland for over 25 years. BEAR is an alliance of three successful, prominent organisations in the UK roads sector – Vinci, Jacobs and Breedon. These companies span the world, allowing us to call on the global strength and expertise of our shareholders where required. Since BEAR was established in 2000, it has been involved in five generations of Transport Scotland Trunk Road Operating Company contracts covering various areas of Scotland, and are currently responsible for approximately 60% of Scotland’s trunk road network.
